I am so glad that our school have Easter holiday and let me have time to went to Washington; the Nation’s capital. I am a tourist and there is no doubt that I want to go visit Washington.
The day we go was a windy spring day. I put my hand in the pocket but still feel very cold. The time we go was just holding the 2007 National Cherry Blossom Festival. It supposed to have a lot of cherry now. Therefore, I expect to see a lot of cherry and take a lot of pictures. But I didn’t see “a lot” of cherry and just a few on the tree. I think it was because the weather turns cold and the wind is so strong that blows away the cherry. So I didn’t have chance to take a lot of pictures with the cherry. However, I still take a lot of pictures with the memorials. We walk a long distance to take the picture with different memorial they have and it was so tired to walk a long distance. At that moment I really want to rent the bicycle. Haha~~
Washington, DC was a quite and clean city. I did not see a lot of people walking on the street, and people leaving there seem not in a rush. I didn’t hear people playing loud music when they are driving and I didn’t hear any horn. They all seem so patient. There subway looks so clean and modern, moreover, it look likes other places I have been in Washington, was so quiet and clean. It was really different than New York. But I think the subway in New York is better than Washington because it was more convenient; I don’t need to walk a long distance to other places. But there is no question that Washington’s subway is clean.
The trip to Washington has a lot of fun although my leg was very tired. But I think I will only go there once. Haha

Wow! I am so happy for you that you were able to visit Washington DC, and at the prettiest time of the year! (Although it looked VERY cold...poor you!) As a newcomer to the USA, it was also high on my priority list- to visit the capital. I think it is a very beautiful city and I loved the museums, but I remember being surprised because I expected the White House to be so much larger! :)
